The Confetti Tower
A Place for the Maker Community
...The site sits in between two of the main shopping and cultural communities of Pittsburgh: The Strip district and Downtown. The Confetti Tower’s goal is to bridge the gap between these two hubs by introducing a new community, the Maker Community. The Maker Community is a movement focused around building and sustaining oneself through the act of creating. The Confetti Tower will be a home for this developing community to live, make, and sell their work in one place.
...The tower will feature retail spaces for the Makers to sell their goods, workshops for the Makers and the community, and affordable housing for the Makers to have a home base in the building.
